The Details
Join us for a celebration of automotive history and design!
From humble beginnings in the aftermath a World War II to becoming global leaders in innovation and design, Japanese automakers have transformed the automotive world. Shifting Perspectives traces this remarkable journey, showcasing how brands like Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Mazda, and Subaru rose to prominence by redefining performance, reliability, and technological advancement—guided by the philosophy of Kaizen (continuous improvement).
This exhibit also tells the story of how Japanese cars crossed the Pacific and ignited a cultural movement in the United States. From motorsport victories and blockbuster film fame to street tuning and the rise of the JDM scene, Japanese vehicles have become icons of engineering excellence and personal expression. Featuring rare and legendary models, personal stories, and cultural artifacts, this exhibit invites you to rediscover the Japanese car revolution—both in America and beyond.
