LAWN Events

Since 1927, the Carriage House has been the setting for various lawn events and other car related activities. The Lawn Event season grew out of a Sunday afternoon tradition begun by the Anderson family, who would open the doors to the Carriage House so that the general public could admire their growing collection of American and European cars.

We host lawn events almost every Sunday from May-October. Our Lawn Event season features events from every marque and era. Italian, German, British, American, Custom, Tuner, Alternative Fuels, Trucks, Hot Rods and European Motorcycles will all be on display at different times throughout the season.

"One of the best places for car shows. Great enviornment, great events, and amazing cars."

Our Lawn Events generally have similar starting times but we recommend checking each event page for the start time. Please do not arrive earlier than one hour before the start time. Our staff needs adequate time to set up for each event.

Some larger events may have staggered entrance times. Please check each event page prior to the event for more information.

There will be food and beverage available for purchase From Putterham Grille. Cash only.

You are welcome to bring your own food and enjoy picnic style on the lawn. Alcohol is NOT permitted at any of our Lawn Events per the Town of Brookline and Brookline Police Department. We reserve the right to check your personal cooler if you are attending our events.

Registering online in advance does NOT guarantee a space on the lawn. Please arrive early.

Our Lawn Events are visited by hundreds and sometimes thousands of visitors, so setting up a booth on our lawn is a great opportunity for you to grow your business. We’ve had artists, toy vendors, parts dealers and even insurance companies.

As a vendor, you will have a 10’ x 10’ space on the grass and among the cars. Vendors are responsible for their own tables, chairs, tents, etc. Vendors can bring vehicles to accompany their space for an additional cost. Vehicles must fit in with the parameter of the event and are subject to Museum approval.

If you are a vendor at an event, we encourage you to bring give aways to promote your business, giving out food or beverage is prohibited.

If you are interested in being a vendor at the Lawn Events, please use this form. Please note: At this time, we do not offer vendor spots at the Cars and Coffee events.

We have a variety of packages created to promote your business as a sponsor of one or all of the lawn events at the Larz Anderson Auto Museum. We will promote the lawn event locally throughout New England through email blasts, social media and in print.

With sponsorship, you receive a 20’x10’ prime space on the lawn. You also will have an opportunity to have your logo on show awards. We hope you will join us for this summer tradition.

If you are interested in being a sponsor of a specific Lawn Event, please use this form. Please note: At this time, we do not offer sponsorship at the Cars and Coffee events.
