LARZ ANDERSON AUTO MUSEUM APPRAISAL NIGHT
FRIDAY, MARCH 12, 2010
Like the Antiques Road Show, the museum’s Appraisal Night is an opportunity to find out what your own personal “treasures” may be worth. Professional representatives from the Skinner Auction House will conduct the appraisals. We will have two Generalist Appraisers (someone who has vast knowledge of value in most categories of antiques) and one Fine Arts Painting Appraisers (a specialist in paintings). There is a maximum of two items per person. Bring your item to find out its value. If you discover its worth more than you anticipated you might want to consign it to Skinner for auction at a later date. This is not an automobile appraisal. We also discourage any stamps, coins or jewelry. We may at some future date have a specialist for these items.
Since only three people can be seen at a time and appraisals take about 5 minutes per item, the museum will be offering a cash bar and some refreshments so that you can tour the museum, mingle and socialize while waiting your turn.
This event is open to the public. You do not need a membership to attend. There are no tickets to purchase. You are paying only for each item you would like to have appraised or to buy a cocktail at the bar.
